2. Oratrix and Shagbard -An automotive history lesson. This is not something you would ever use. (Well, maybe you could use this on a text message.) This PDF is the old General Motors telegraphic code. In the old days, when a telephone would not work for communication, you would send a telegram. When you sent a telegram, you paid by the word. Words would be made up to replace a phrase or sentence. Hence, you have a cheaper telegram to send. This chart was in the front of GM Parts Catalogs until the early 1970's. Quick Tech Tips
1) Do you have a bunch of old license plates?
Use them as a backsplash for your garage sink! Install them like shingles. Start with the bottom layer, and then add the next layer on top. You have a place to store, and display your plates. And if you ever move, take them down, and with you!
2) How to easily tell if a taillight bulb is burned out
Eyes not as good as they used to be? Simply hold the bulb up against a sheet of white paper. If the bulb appears blackened, it's burned out!
