Why Parts Department Cheat Sheets are important |

Your brain recalls information in a couple of different ways. Automatic, also termed "motormind". This is something your brain does automatically from sheer repetition. For example,answer this- "What is your Social Security number? You didn't have to think about it, you can blurt it out as fast as you can talk. The other way, is concious thought. Answer this- What steps do you have to do to ride a bicycle? That does not come out as fast, does it? Cheat sheets speed up the time to "motormind". Whether it is part number groups, conversions, crossovers, whatever, if that sheet is in front of you, you will learn faster. This is important when bringing new employees up to speed. We need cheat sheets, and so do you! |
